About John Haegele

John Haegele grew up in the rural town of St. Louis, MO (in the middle of the country) where he began his acting career at a very young age. It was not until after his freshman year at St. Louis University High School that his love for theatre began to take shape.

John was first cast in "A Chorus Line" at THE MUNY, America’s largest outdoor theatre, the summer between his freshman and sophomore year. Following multiple musical and theatre productions, John attended college at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in Winona, MN (again, in the middle of the country just a little north). While in college, John had the wonderful opportunity of traveling to Europe where he performed in a production of "SubUrbia" by Eric Bogosian at the Wimbledon Studio Theatre in London, England. Among the other things, John studied at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland.

After college, John ventured to New York where he was in various tours and off-Broadway productions. He landed a recurring role on "As the World Turns" in the later part of his tenure in New York.

Currently John is residing in Los Angeles. Since arriving in Los Angeles, John booked a recurring role on "The Young & the Restless", performed in the seven month long run of "The Last Schwartz" at the Zephyr Theatre, and traveled back to New York to perform "Light Speed" at the Strawberry One-Act Festival. "Light Speed" was among the four finalists for 'best play'. You will be able to see John in the Eclectic Theatre Company's Hurricane One-Act season of "Appleblossomtime".
